MUTTON HIGH Neo-Exotic Music Duo at Morgan Salon!

Saturday, May 25 - Door 7pm, Start 7:30pm

13 may be an unlucky number for some... but for Close Encounter #13 we have struck gold in the form of Mutton High. One of the most exciting, creative musical duos I have seen in a very long time.  Performing together for six years, they have developed musical telepathy, unerringly skilled looping, pitch-perfect improvised vocal melodies and harmonies, and rich percussion played digitally with one hand and acoustically with the other. The result is marvellous rich layers of sound magically conjured out of thin air with rare freshness and exotic sensousness. They describe themselves as: "A caravan traveling through the blue desert... A Neo-exotic music duo using organic and electronic voice loops and rhythms, weaving together meditation, avant-garde music and pop."

This will be a very special night indeed in Morgan Salon!

The venue, Morgan Salon, is the personal art/music studio of British keyboardist Morgan Fisher (Mott the Hoople, Queen, Yoko Ono, etc.). It is just a five-minute walk from Daitabashi Station (only 2 stops by local train from Shinjuku on the Keio Line).

ENTRY is 4000 yen, payable at the door (cash only please).

＊＊＊ EMAIL RESERVATION IS APPRECIATED (see below) as seating is limited to 30 persons, but of course last-minute, unreserved attendees are also welcome!

モーガン サロン で ライヴ：「マトンハイ ネオ・エキゾチックミュージックデュオ！」

5月25日（土） - 開場19:00、開始19:30

13 は一部の人にとっては不吉な数字かもしれません...しかし、接近遭遇 #13 では、「マトン ハイ」という形で宝物を発見しました。 私が長い間見た中で最もエキサイティングでクリエイティブな音楽デュオの 1 つです。 6年間一緒に演奏してきた彼らは、音楽的なテレパシー、間違いなく熟練したループ、ピッチ完璧な即興ボーカルのメロディーとハーモニーを開発しました。 また、片手ではデジタルで、もう一方の手ではアコースティックで演奏される活発なパーカッションも演奏されます。 その結果、まれな新鮮さとエキゾチックな感覚を備えた、魔法のように空気から呼び出される、驚くほど豊かなサウンドの層が生まれます。
